Halo 3: ODST, the most diverse game in the series, has finally hit the PC for the first time. You can pick it up individually or as part of Halo: Now the primary leadership collection. Instead of snatching you into the armor of a Spartan supersoldier, ODST follows the misguided attempts of a group of shock troops sent to the new Mombasa occupied by the treaty.

Although it ended up being a full-featured Halo Rumble, it initially started life as a small side project, so it wasn’t like previous games. This led to some significant changes in tone and gameplay, although it still had many traps of the first trilogy. It also helps to follow Halo 2, which shows what happened after the new Mombasa agreed to the deal.

The ODST co-op comes with wave fact mode Firefight, which is also included in the Xbox version of The Master Chief Collection. While it is a stand-alone mode, it is linked to the campaign via unopened characters and maps, which is available by playing through the eight-hour storyline.
