Apple introduced the latest version of its iOS operating system iOS 14 in June 2020, which was released on September 16th. IOS 14 is one of Apple's biggest iOS updates, introducing changes to the home screen design, major new features, updates to existing apps, Siri enhancements, and many other changes that streamline the iOS interface.

First and foremost, iOS 14 brings the redesigned home screen, which for the first time includes support for widgets. Widgets can be dragged from today's view to the home screen, and they can be fitted in different sizes. With the smart stack feature, you can use iPhone device intelligence to reveal the exact widget based on time, location, and function.


Each home screen page can display customized widgets for work, travel, games, and more. Today's section where widgets are kept has also been redesigned and has a gallery of widgets where users can select new widgets from their apps and customize those widgets.

Swiping all the way to the end of the app pages on the iPhone opens a new app library, which is the interface that shows all the apps on your iPhone at a glance. Applications are organized into your folder system, but folders like Apple's Recommendations and Apple Arcade also superimpose applications. You can add new app downloads to your home screen or place them in the app library to keep your home screen clean.

New space-saving measures Incoming phone calls and Siri requests no longer take full screen. Phone calls (and FaceTime / VoIP calls) are displayed on a small banner on the iPhone display, while a small animated Siri icon is displayed at the bottom of the screen when Siri is activated.
