EDDIE MURPHY WINS AN EMMY!

The 59-year-old actor was awarded Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series category for his Saturday Night Live performance during the 2020 Creative Arts Emmy Awards on Saturday (September 19) marking his first Emmy win. He was previously nominated 5 times and was last nominated 21 years ago in 1999 for his outstanding animated program (for programming one hour or less) for Fox’s The PJs.
It has been 35 years since Eddie last hosted Saturday Night Live back in December. His episode provided the show with its highest ratings for the last two years.
Other celebrities who were up for the award were Adam Driver for Saturday Night Live, Luke Kirby for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Brad Pitt for Saturday Night Live, the late Fred Willard for Modern Family, and Dev Patel for Modern Love.
