It’s officially been announced! The conclusion to the epic bidding for Tik Tok has come to a close with Oracle emerging on the top taking control over TikTok‘s US operations.

According to The Wall Street Journal, the software company beat Microsoft to the punch with the winning bid. Additionally, the report includes that Oracle will be declared as the app’s “trusted tech partner”, but it’s not specified as a “sale”.

The site also takes states that Oracle might have been the favorite company to claim ownership of the US operations for the app, given its founder, Larry Ellison, being a strong supporter of President Donald Trump.

Microsoft was clearly the favored to acquire the app, but they were notified by parent company ByteDance that they had lost their bid in the deal.

It is uncertain whether TikTok will still file a lawsuit against the Trump Administration over his executive order.
