Among the musicians who paid tribute to Mac Miller on the second anniversary of his death was Chance the rapper, Juicy Jay and Thundercat. The Blue World star, who had a drug history, passed away on September 7, 2018, due to an accidental drug overdose, and on Monday his famous friends, fans, and collaborators took to social media to honor his memory.

Chance gave a simple line, summarizing how instrumental the 26-year-old was in helping him start his career, and tweeted: "Then one day Mac took me on tour" referring to the 2013 space migration tour, after which Chance took on the hip-hop industry by storm.

Meanwhile, Juicy Jay wrote: "RIP Mac Miller I miss you man"

Singer-producer Thundercat marked the tragedy by acknowledging that the hole left in his life by MC’s death will last forever.

“You have two families, the family you were born into and the family you choose,” he shared.

"The family I chose, not a single day went by, I didn't realize it. I know I know that too. Today only Mac Miller is knocking (playing)," he reflected.
