TWITTER HACKERS MAY INCLUDE A 16-YEAR-OLD FROM MASSACHUSETTS

Earlier this summer following the Twitter hack, investigations have produced a new suspect; a 16-year-old from Massachusetts, according to a new report. This new suspect would be the youngest of the group of four individual to conspire against both the US and the UK who planned and took over several dozens of high-profile accounts to market a bitcoin scam.
It’s still uncertain which members directly controlled the internal Twitter systems and precisely how they gained access beyond somehow fooling company employees, but the suspected mastermind of the hack is presumed to be 17-year-old Floridian Graham Ivan Clark, who has been charged as an adult with 30 felonies. The other suspects are 19-year-old Mason John Sheppard of the UK and 22-year-old Nima Fazeli of Orlando, Florida.
Currently, the Times reports a third person, the Massachusetts teenager, may have also been privy in the organizing of the attack, and that both the unnamed teen and Clark were equally responsible for uploading tweets to accounts that belong to former US president Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Elon Musk, and many more. This is a pivotal piece of detail given Clark was believed to have been the only one of the group to have used the internal tools.
Not much is known about the Massachusetts teen, however, it is known that he practiced a type of social engineering hack called “vishing,” where the hacker phishes tech company employees through the phone impersonating contractors to steal login credentials for sensitive systems. Subsequently, the teen then moved onto SIM swapping and other forms of hacking, where he linked up with Clark online and also reportedly participated in a high-profile intrusion of domain provider GoDaddy earlier this year.
