CALL OF DUTY NEW GAME WILL BE CALLED BLACK OPS: COLD WAR

The new installment in the Call of Duty franchise is set to return to familiar grounds. Earlier today, the developer dropped the first teaser trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops: Cold War.
The teaser is comprised entirely of newsreels and historical footage, which will probably be significantly tied to the game’s storyline. The trailer itself contains heavy Cold War references, and gives players access to a Soviet spy codenamed Perseus. According to the teaser — and some slight Googling — Perseus was never arrested, and infiltrated deeply into some of the most secretive U.S. defense institutions in order to provide the USSR a winning edge in the global arms race.
The trailer revolves around an actual television interview with KGB defector Yuri Bezmenov, who describes the cautious ways that the Soviet Union was working to uproot the United States. Bezmenov, an ex-Soviet journalist who was a prominent anti-communist author and speaker in the west after his defection, explains that the Soviet Union had a crafty, spanning several decades plan to infiltrate and destabilize America.
The trailer ends with the Call of Duty: Black Ops: Cold War title and the news that it will be further revealed on Aug. 26.
