Cardi B’s new album is making headway, however, it looks like she has something different in store for her fans compared to her 2018 debut Invasion of Privacy.

While her recent release of new anthem “WAP” shows that Belcalis still has a bunch of hits under her “proverbial” belt. In a new interview, she reveals that her upcoming project will contain some of her own Lemonade moments.

“My music is always going to make a woman feel like she’s the baddest in the room, to me, that’s female empowerment,” she said. “But this album is going to be really different. Of course, it’s going to have my Lemonade moments, my personal relationship moments.”

When Cardi talks about Lemonade, she is actually talking about Beyoncé’s 2016 masterpiece, which pulls the curtain on Queen B’s relationship with Jay-Z and his infidelity. Although there has been some speculation between Cardi and her husband Offset with regards to their relationship, the couple notes having their roller coaster of moments together. Offset sang about this on the track “Don’t Lose Me,” where he apologizes to Cardi for “breaking your heart, breaking our promise.”

At the end of 2018, the couple split due to Offset's affair. To apologize, the Migos rapper surprised his wife by showing up on stage during her Rolling Loud Festival performance, which inevitably led to the two getting back together.
