Simon Cowell is on the way to full recovery after a scary accident.
The America’s Got Talent judge had undergone surgery for approximately six hours on Saturday (August 8) after breaking his back in a number of places after a bike accident.

“It was a long surgery, they had to fuse his bones and implant a rod. But thank goodness he’s going to be okay and will have a few months of recovery,” as stated by a source.

As noted earlier, Simon was taken to the hospital after falling on his back while testing driving his electric bike in the courtyard of his house.
“He hurt his back and was taken to the hospital. He’s doing fine, he’s under observation and is in the best possible hands,” a rep said at the time.

It is uncertain what the type of back injury Cowell has sustained, but generally a 'broken back' usually means a fracture of the spine.
It will take him some time to make a full recovery and Simon is expected to stay in the hospital for at least several days.
