Initially revealed as an early access game on the PC, the monster-collecting MMO, Temtem, will coming to consoles in 2021. Sony’s State of Play event exposed Temtem’s arrival on the PlayStation 5.
The game is what you can call a hardcore experience which would be perfect for people who are familiar with the popular franchise, Pokemon! Although initially, the game had connectivity issues and a lack of diversity in monsters to collect, it has hugely expanded and improved in the multiplayer experience aspect of the game. The developer Crema has added a bunch of features including plenty of more monsters to collect, a photo mode, a permadeath-oriented “nuzlocke” mode, player-run clubs, and new locations, such as a wildlife reserve where the monsters on display alternate weekly. Patches which introduces mechanics like traits and techniques have vastly improved the complexity of existing monsters.
Any future updates to the PC version bring the promise of player housing, expanded area, and not to mention, dozens of more monsters. Presumably, the upcoming PlayStation 5 version of Temtem will have many of these features from the get-go.
