Joey King is making leaps and bounds in her rise to stardom with her new upcoming role in a Sony Pictures film, and signed to co-star alongside superstar Brad Pitt in the upcoming movie titled “Bullet Train”.

The movie will be helmed by the same director of Atomic Blonde, Deadpool 2 and Hobbs & Shaw, David Leitch.

The “Kissing Booth 2” actress will be set to play the role of an assassin in the movie and the film will be based off the Japanese novel “Maria Beetle”. Subsequently, the novel will be translated into the English language and will be published next year by Harvill Secker. The plot involves a group of assassin on the iconic bullet train with seemingly different motivations giving the movie an element of thriller train “Unstoppable” and “Non-Stop” the 2014 Liam Neeson set on board an aircraft-esque vibes.

Bullet Train will mark Pitt’s first movie commitment since 2018’s Oscar winner Once Upon a Time in… Hollywood.

The movie is set to begin production in Los Angeles in the fall, and notes that Sony Pictures that it will be easier to film than other projects because it will be made in a “contained” set.
