The singer confirmed she has rekindled her romance with ex-boyfriend Chris by attending a series of public events with him recently. At the Grammy Awards, they hugged and joked during the ceremony, while she accompanied him to a court probation hearing earlier this month. Rihanna has made no secret of her feelings for Chris and wants him to show the world he is equally serious about her.
'As far as Rihanna is concerned, it's now time for Chris to man up and be supportive of her,' a source said. 'She'd love to see him make a firm commitment and make it clear to everyone ' especially his ex, Karrueche Tran ' that he's all about her now, by proposing.'
Although Rihanna appeared calm and collected as she attended Chris' recent court hearing, insiders insist it took a lot out of her.
'Even though she just put on a brave face, she was taking really deep breaths and even shaking a little. She had mixed emotions about it,' an insider revealed. 'On one hand, she felt it was a big step for her and Chris. But she was also confronting all those horrible memories that came to the surface again.'
It has been claimed that Chris and Rihanna had a heated exchange shortly before Chris' court appearance. The hip-hop star was worried that the hearing could prove too much for Rihanna, but she was adamant about showing her support.
'There was a tearful stand-off between them, just minutes before the hearing started,' a source added. 'Chris told her that she didn't have to go in, but Rihanna grabbed Chris and said really loudly, 'I'm going in because you've changed.' They didn't seem to care who was watching.'
Skrillex seems to divide opinion among electronic music makers (and listeners, for that matter), but with three Grammy Awards now in his pocket, someone must think that he's doing something right.
The 24-year producer's single Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites won Best Dance Recording, while the EP of the same name was named Best Electronic/Dance Album. His remix of Benny Benassi's Cinema, meanwhile was acclaimed as the Best Remixed Recording.
Skrillex lost out in two other categories: Best New Artist and best Short Form Music Video, which were won by Bon Iver and Adele's Rolling In The Deep respectively.
In related news, prankster producer Deadmau5, who lost out in all three electronic music categories, attended the ceremony wearing a T-shirt emblazoned with Skrillex's mobile phone number across the front, ensuring prank calls aplenty.
Skrillex didn't seem too bothered, though, tweeting later: "Haha @deadmau5just wore my phone number on his fokin shirt on tv gotta retire this phone".
India was knocked out of the ICC Women's World Cup after suffering an upset 138-run drubbing at the hands of Sri Lanka in a crucial Group A encounter yesterday.
Chasing a challenging total of 283, the hosts put up a pathetic show to be bowled out for 144 in 42.2 overs at the Brabourne Stadium.
Incidentally, this was India's first defeat to Sri Lanka in 18 matches, having won their previous 16 encounters with one ending in no result.
Sri Lanka qualifies for the Super Six.
Meanwhile the information department states that President Mahinda Rajapkse also congratulated the Sri lankan Women’s cricket captain Shashikala Siriwarana for the achievement.
The Someone Like You songbird had been reluctant to share her tiny tot’s name, instead revealing she and fiancé Simon Konecki call him ‘Little Peanut’.
However, the 24-year-old singer finally came clean after she was spotted wearing a gold necklace bearing the word Angelo in Hollywood earlier this week.
A source revealed: ‘They’ve called him Angelo James. What a lovely name.’
‘They wanted to keep their choice quiet until they were ready, and wearing the necklace suggests she is now. It is only a name,’.
Adele is in LA following her Golden Globes win and is expected to stay in the States until the Oscars on February 24, where she will be performing Skyfall in what will be her first live performance in a year.
The James Bond theme tune has been nominated for the best song award – the first Bond theme to be nominated for an Oscar since 1981′s For Your Eyes Only.
And Adele has admitted had mixed feelings about the upcoming gig.
‘It’s an honour to be nominated and terrifyingly wonderful to be singing in front of people who have captured my imagination over and over again,’ she said in a statement.
‘It’s something I’ve never experienced and probably only ever will once.’
Justin Bieber continues to add to his tattoo collection. His latest ink? Roman numerals on his collarbone.
The numerals appear to spell out his mother Pattie Mallette’s birthday, which is April 2, 1975.
The Biebs shared the photo of his latest etching on Instagram, where it is in full display. In this other shot, you can see the tattoo under the strap of his wifebeater tank.
We are just glad the Biebs elected to get a tattoo related to the love of his life — his mother — as opposed to getting Selena Gomez‘s name or birthdate tattooed on him in an effort to try and win her back.
That’s a big, huge no-no.
The Biebs recently added an owl and an Indian chief to his ever-expanding collection. The latter is a tribute to his grandfather, and now, he is making sure to honor his mother.
Remember, his pops Jeremy Bieber got his son’s initials (which are also his own, go figure) tattooed on his body last year to celebrate that singer’s 18th birthday!
He’s certainly becoming heavily inked.
Beliebers, what do you think of JB’s latest tat? Is he, like One Direction‘s Harry Styles, going overboard with the tattoo work?
