SHAWN MENDES TAPPED FOR BBC'S CHILDREN IN NEED APPEAL SHOW
Shawn Mendes joins the BBC's Children's Need appeal series, the company's annual fundraiser.

The Canadian pop star will appear at the 40th annual UK event, which airs on BBC One on November 13. Mendes is set to release his fourth studio album, Wonder, on December 4, with the Netflix documentary In Wonder set for a November 23 release.

The 22-year-old is on a streak. All of his first three studio albums topped the Billboard 200 charts, and in the UK, his last two LPs peaked at number three.

This year's Children's Need show will be hosted by Mel Giedroyc, Alex Scott, Stephen Mangan, and Chris Ramsey will feature actors from the famous British soul singer Beverly Knight and the West End Music Six. When locked out earlier this year, Kids Need and Comic Relief joined forces to create The Big Knight.

The event, for good reason, grossed over 67,100,000 (87 million) and featured the premiere of Radio 1's Stay Home Live Lounge charity single video, the all-star cover of Foo Fighters' "Times Like This". The song went straight to number one on the official singles list the following week.
