Armando Christian Perez, better known for his stage name Pitbull or Mr. Worldwide is a Cuban-American pop and rap singer and songwriter. Pitbull was introduced to Lil Jon where Pitbull was invited to do a track with him on his new album Kings of Crunk in 2002 which Lil Jon named, “Pitbulls Cuban Ride Out.”
In 2004, Pitbull released his debut album M.I.A.M.I. under TVT Records and the song from that album known as, “Culo,” become a Billboard hot 100. The album also included production producers Lil Jon and Jim Jonsin. Pitbull later released his second album El Mariel, in 2006 and his third album, The Boatlift, in 2007. His fourth album, Rebelution was released in 2009. It included the hit single "I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)", which peaked at number two on the US Billboard Hot 100. Then in March 2011, Pitbull came out with another brilliant single, “Give me Everything,” which featured Ne-Yo, Afrojack and Nayer and became a billboard hot 100 and his first US number-one single.
His 2013 track "Timber" from his Meltdown EP topped the charts in twenty nations, including the US and UK. He received the honor of writing the 2014 FIFA World Cup official song and delivered a show-stopping performance alongside Jennifer Lopez and Claudia Leitte in São Paulo, Brazil.
His music has appeared in Men In Black III and The Penguins of Madagascar, and he even had a starring role in the animated film Epic.
The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce proudly honored Pitbull with the 2,584th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on July 15, 2016.
Continuously giving back and cultivating success among the next generation, Pitbull serves as the brand ambassador for Sports, Leadership and Management Academy (SLAM!)—part of the Academica charter school network with locations in Little Havana, Miami and Las Vegas, Nevada.
